So...

- The pool parties continued under the same hosts for another three years till 2018.

- I think in 2019 may have been with closer friends in Mulgrave.

- In 2020 I stayed home due to pandemic and had solo fun - this included making a temporary diorama of an NYE party with an assortment of toys.

- In 2021 I was back to Mulgrave but also popped into Pixel Bar around Midnight before walking home.

- 2022 ended with a party at Greta Street in Clayton (which in the past I had often visited on Xmas Eve anyway).

- 2023 ended a bit differently. Belinda and I visited friends on a farm in central Victoria that weekend for a mix of chatting, gaming and some farmish chores. I’m still pretty tired from it.Danhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12710148812664294219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19268887.post-49707170169076790632017-11-04T01:11:35.060+11:002017-11-04T01:11:35.060+11:00I'm copying and pasting comments to this same ...I'm copying and pasting comments to this same post. What I recall is I got shouted at but also tolerated. Possibly because I sensed the mood of the room and segued into something more appropriate like - I dunno - bloody Tainted Love by Soft Cell. :)

I too find tracks cut off half-way (even if I prefer the next song) annoying. I once told someone that every song cut off messes with the fabric of the universe and results in a world exploding far away. Those times I have done it (and Never Ending Story may have been such a time) I make sure to manually fade-out the song before playing the next one.

There was _someone_ who would hijack stereos to play novelty songs and comedy tracks. The result was usually that he was left to play by his lonesome. Funny the trivial things we remember.
(Reply) (Parent) (Thread)

And with that bit of record-keeping I'm done for another night. Bed is the word. ;)Danhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12710148812664294219noreply@blogger.com
